Mansa Systems announces the launch of client site www.itsonthegrid.com

Mansa Systems is very pleased to announce the launch of its client’s website, www.itsonthegrid.com, a business application built using force.com platform and cloud infrastructure.

www.itsonthegrid.com (“IOTG”) is a subscription-supported website that provides competitive feature film development information to entertainment industry professionals as well as people aspiring to break into the movie business.  The site tracks inside information on movie projects in development, as well as the people and the companies involved with each project.  What differentiates IOTG from sites such as the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com), however, is its listings of open writing assignments (“OWAs”) and open directing assignments (“ODAs”) at Hollywood studios.  Essentially, OWAs and ODAs are job opportunities for professional writers and directors.  Prior to IOTG’s launch, this information was not publicly available in the aggregate in any form, let alone via a search-driven application such as this one.

As of today, IOTG’s database includes over 1100 projects in active development throughout Hollywood, including nearly 500 open writing assignments and dozens of open directing assignments, as well as over 725 companies (agencies, management companies, production companies, studios and other buyers) and nearly 3400 individuals (agents, executives, managers, producers and writers, plus a growing list of actors and directors).  Planned future development of the application includes additional personalization features for subscribers as well as deployment of force.com ideas.
